This easy loop starts at Praterstern, rolls past the famous Giant Ferris Wheel and follows the tree-lined Hauptallee to the historic Lusthaus pavilion, returning across the open Jesuitenwiese meadow.
Route overview
From Praterstern the path slips past the funfair before joining the dead-straight Hauptallee, a shaded chestnut avenue that runs the length of the park.
At about 9.5 km, flat and almost entirely car-free, it is an effortless ride for families and casual cyclists alike.
What you will see
The tour opens with the iconic Riesenrad and the lively Wurstelprater amusement park, then trades crowds for calm green allées.
At the far end the elegant Lusthaus pavilion makes a perfect coffee stop before you loop back across the wide Jesuitenwiese meadow.
Tips for the ride
The Hauptallee is shared with runners and walkers, so keep right and pass slowly, especially on warm weekends.
Combine the ride with a spin on the Ferris Wheel or a picnic on the meadow to make a relaxed half-day out.
